This 20 disc card set was issued in 1988 by Fantastic Sam’s as a promotion by MSA and Major League Baseball. Cards were distributed at Fantastic Sam’s Hair Salons and were given away as an entry form into the “Superstar Sweepstakes” with the prizes including 4 tickets to a 1988 Championship Game, caps, autographed baseballs, etc. As with other MSA sets, it is not licensed by MLB Properties, and all the team logos have been airbrushed.  The discs are approx 2-1/2″ round with a color photo of the player and are attached to the entry form by a perforated edge that had to be detached and turned in. The backs have the players 1987 stats.  This set contains 10 “Hall of Famers” along with the stars of that time. Players include Schmidt, Puckett, Brett, Gwynn, etc. The discs are in great shape and all discs are still attached to their entry forms.
